How To Build An Internet Marketing List Of Over 100,000

In anticipation of an upcoming launch of Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula 2, I told my list that I was going to offer a solo mailing to one of my lists of over 120,000. This immediately started a flood of emails asking how they could order early... something that I anticipated.
The second flood of emails asked how I had managed to build such a huge database. Rather than answering that second question in individual emails, I decided to answer it with this article.
First of all, I should point out that I've been in business online since late-1996, and have been slowly building my lists almost since the very beginning. So, I didn't accomplish this overnight. Still, I know that you can build a huge list rather quickly if you use the right techniques.
Here are some of my favorite list-building techniques:
1) Put a sign-up form on every page of your websites, except for direct sales pages where it would interrupt the flow too much. Next to that sign-up form, give a powerful reason why they need to join your list, and ask them to take action.
Next to the sign-up form, assure them that you will protect them from spam. Also post a few testimonials as proof of the value your newsletter provides.
2) Write information-packed articles and distribute them everywhere appropriate. I've written over 850 information-packed article on the topic of Internet marketing. Those articles demonstrate my expertise, share useful information, and bring visitors to my websites ready to join my lists.
I believe in sharing a lot of cutting edge information in my articles. Many people only drop hints, but I'm not afraid of sharing too much. The reason is that knowledge grows exponentially, and since I'm constantly learning new things, I can never teach you everything that I know.
Since I don't fear running out of useful information that you will value, my articles are genuinely helpful, and that generates lots of loyal subscribers.
3) Write information-packed, inexpensive ebooks and then allow affiliates to sell them for most of the profit.
I create a steady stream of ebooks - largely expansions of my articles - and then I set up affiliate programs where affiliates earn as much as 100% commission. Money is a great motivator for getting others to send you lots of new "paying" customers and subscribers
My favorite tool for setting up these "ebook traffic magnets" is Sid Hale's Rapid Action Profits script. This script allows you to set up a system where an affiliate earns INSTANT commissions which are paid directly to their Paypal accounts.
High commissions are a great motivator for people to send you new potential subscribers. When those commissions are paid instantly to affiliates who often have cash-flow problems, it's like pouring gasoline on a fire.

4) Run pay-per-click campaigns... when the math makes sense. This is something that I don't see a lot of my competitors doing. However, when I know that my conversions rates or backend profits are sufficient, I often run pay-per-click ads... sometimes even for free items.
With pay-per-clicks, you need to closely monitor your results. You also need a good idea of the lifetime value of a new customer or subscriber. To me, it makes perfect sense to lose a dollar to gain a new highly qualified subscriber.
If you're paying attention, you'll notice numerous Internet marketers who run promotions where they pay a dollar or more for referrals who simply opt-in to a list. I essentially do the same thing when using pay-per-clicks. With pay-per-clicks you reach new subscribers who may not already be on a dozen other marketers' lists.
5) Use free giveaways where appropriate. I contribute to, and help to promote free giveaways, when they are well managed and the quality is high. I've built large lists doing this and have a friend who got over 5000 subscribers from one of his first giveaways. I've written about how I do that many times before.
The key with free giveaways is that you need to offer a gift of high enough value that your new subscribers instantly bond with you. You still have to develop the relationship, but your gift should start it on a positive note.
Many people who participate in free giveaways offer "absolute garbage." Once their new subscriber downloads their free "gift" and look through it, they HAVE to feel insulted.
My rule is to always offer a gift that's good enough to sell. I was humored when, in one recent giveaway, I contributed resale rights to one of my new ebooks, along with a rough website. Before the giveaway was even over, at least one fast-acting individual had my ebook set up using the Rapid Action Profits script mentioned in number three, above.
6) Give away free viral ebooks. Write ebooks on topics that you know a lot of people are interested in. In those ebooks recommend specific solutions to problems, and include affiliate links to buy those products. Make some of those links rebrandable.
If the ebooks are filled with lots of useful information, AND they have links that can be rebranded, then you have an ebook that should go viral. People are incentivized to spread it!
In these ebooks, offer some type of a free bonus... perhaps an audio recording, or a template, or free piece of software, but require readers to visit your website to get this bonus. On your site, require them to register, or join your mailing list, to get the freebie.
If the original ebook delivered tremendous value, then the new potential subscriber will have no objection to joining your list. If the free ebook offered marginal value, then they have to assume that your other "gift" will be more of the same, and so they won't subscribe.
For creating viral ebooks, I recommend using the "Viral Document Toolkit" a next-generation PDF brander created by David Schwartz. The Viral Document Toolkit allows you to easily create rebrandable documents where you can specify links, and text that can be rebranded. You can even specify rather large BLOCKS of text as rebrandable... and even rebrand hyperlinked images! You create a rebrandable ebook, and then pass along the ebook (with most parts locked, but some parts changeable) along with the rebrander tool, to your subscribers, website visitors, customers, etc. Since they can profit from changing the ebook, they happily spread it, and in the process build you a huge list.

6) Take massive action and do it immediately. One of my secrets to building my database so large is that when I'm shown a new tool or technique, and it passes "the common sense test," then I put it to immediate use... provided it doesn't distract me from something more urgent that I'm already working on.
Many of my contemporaries, and subscribers, complained about having no list as long as five years ago. Many of them still use that same excuse for why they've not made any real business growth progress.
I'm not sure why this is since all of the techniques that I, and that many of my mentors use, are so simple... and even obvious!
The key is not to over-analyze things. That traps you into "paralysis by analysis." Instead, get into the habit of doing while others are still "thinking about it."

I will close by sharing that part of the key to growing your list is actually retaining the subscribers after you get them. Tips to Get a Google Adsense Account

In business there are certain things you must not do if you want to be successful in your online home based business. But if you already run a successful business you would already know this. If you are new to business ownership the following tips can be very helpful. First of all never ever skimp on promotion advertising and marketing. Without adequate marketing your business can end up making a huge loss in product or services sales.
A perfect example is a small business that sells audio CD's for children that is introducing a new item on the market. This business is unknown and relatively new. They have a great website which they advertise in a couple of the local newspapers, Only a small handful of people will be aware of this new company and its audio CD product. A much better way of marketing and advertising would have been to advertise in larger nationwide newspapers or putting there website address on a Billboard that can be seen by allot of people in heavy traffic areas. This might be a little more expensive but you will get more bang for your buck, you will reach a greater audience base.
Secondly never underestimate your competition; use the internet to do some investigating and always keep your guard up. If you are in a very competitive market you should consider this. If for example you own a Music Site you would want to know if any sites have any special offers. Do they have a greater selection? What are there rates like, are there prices cheaper or more expensive? Do the have discounted packages like buy 5 get one free? You need to pay close attention to both the bigger and smaller Music Sites both in your area and nationwide. You want to be competitive with there prices so if you can't go cheaper try to at least match there prices. Customers love to get cheaper prices even if it only saves them a couple of cents.
Lastly you should never go into business without properly researching it. You want to ensure you know as much as you can about the home business you are planning to get involved with. You want financial details and as much information on your potential competition, the internet can help you get this information. When you devote time to do research you improve your chances for success, it is almost guaranteed, you would not want any surprises coming up later down after you have invested your time and money. You want your business to run as easy as possible

People are losing their homes and many more will lose their jobs before the mortgage meltdown works its way through the system.
To paraphrase Alan Greenspan's remarks on March 17th, 2008, “The current financial crisis in the US is likely to be judged in retrospect as the most wrenching since the end of the Second World War. The crisis will leave many casualties.”
How many casualties? Experts are predicting that in the next few years, between 15 and 20 million homeowners could have homes worth less than what they owe. Walking away from a bad situation may actually make sense for people who mortgages that are 'upside down' considering the fact that refinancing is out of the question and home equity is nonexistent.
It seems quite easy to point fingers at greedy Wall Street titans for causing the sub-prime mortgage crises. They after all, put together the deals that allowed banks to underwrite mortgages and then offload these liabilities to investors. What many fail to realize is that there is no shortage of blame to go around from homeowners buying more home than they could afford to real estate agents looking for more commission dollars. Mortgage brokers and bankers, the banks themselves, ratings agencies such as Moody's and Standard & Poor's, Wall Street, the Fed and last but certainly not least, the Federal Government.
Let's start with the homeowners--the people who are now in the process or soon to enter the process, of losing their homes. Some of these people had never before owned a home and as such, may not have been prepared for the costs associated with homeownership. Basic financial literacy is sorely lacking in this country despite there being no shortage of budgeting and tracking programs readily available such as Quicken and Microsoft Money. The lack of financial literacy does not absolve these buyers of their responsibility. Every borrower receives a truth in lending disclosure statement. Here is a portion of what the act covers:
The purpose of TILA (Truth In Lending Act) is to promote the informed use of consumer credit by requiring disclosures about its terms and cost. TILA also gives consumers the right to cancel certain credit transactions that involve a lien on a consumer's principal dwelling, regulates certain credit card practices, and provides a means for fair and timely resolution of credit billing disputes. With the exception of certain high-cost mortgage loans, TILA does not regulate the charges that may be imposed for consumer credit. Rather, it requires a maximum interest rate to be stated in variable-rate contracts secured by the consumer's dwelling. It also imposes limitations on home equity plans that are subject to the requirements of Sec. 226.5b and mortgages that are subject to the requirements of Sec. 226.32. The regulation prohibits certain acts or practices in connection with credit secured by a consumer's principal dwelling.
Much of the subprime mortgage crisis can be traced directly back to variable-rate mortgages. As is clearly stated above, “TILA does not regulate the charge that may be imposed for consumer credit. Rather, it requires a maximum interest rate to be stated in variable-rate contracts secured by the consumers dwelling.” It also clearly states that TILA also gives consumers the right to cancel certain credit transactions that involve a lien on a consumer's principal dwelling. One has to wonder whether or not these homeowners:
1. Bothered to read the truth in lending act disclosure at all.
2. Understood what the truth in lending act disclosure meant.
3. Chose to ignore the information printed clearly the truth in lending act disclosure.
A number of months ago, just as the subprime mortgage crisis was beginning to unfold, The New York Daily News ran an article about a family in New York City, who had bought a home and were now faced with the prospect of foreclosure. The article was sympathetic to this family, highlighting the fact that they're living the American dream and that this dream was about to come to an end. What I found to be distressing was the fact that clearly visible in the photo that accompanied this sympathetic article was a very expensive flat screen television hanging on the wall. Perhaps I'm naïve, but I can assure you that if I were faced with the prospect of losing my home and having my family put out on the street, there is absolutely no way that I would still have that expensive television hanging on my wall. It would have been one of the first things to be sold and some financial relief would be found by jettisoning what I'm sure was the expensive cable bill.
Clearly the public needs easy access to financial literacy courses. Too bad we don't see the need to make this a mandatory course of study in our educational system.
Mortgage bankers and brokers have in the last four or five years been raking in cash by the bucket load in the form of commissions paid when mortgages they've originated, close. Many of these people have not needed to do much in the way of prospecting. Instead, their phones have run off the hook as people have jumped on the homeownership and refinancing and take out extra cash bandwagon, despite their ability to pay for their home. No-document loans were readily available without the borrower having to produce documentation that backed up their income. Clearly this practice can and indeed has, lead to substandard loan underwriting processes. Were some of these mortgage bankers and brokers dishonest? Sure. Were all of them dishonest? I think not. To have a massive nationwide conspiracy, where thousands and thousands of people involved in the mortgage banking and mortgage brokering profession got together to create this situation is simply not feasible. Yes, some of the blame does belong with those in the mortgage industry, but they were simply a small cog in the huge machine that created this mess.
Let's discuss real estate agents. In 2007, we bought a home, and also sold a home. The agent we used to purchase our home was absolutely fantastic. In our opinion, she went above and beyond to make our deal happen. She answered every phone call, followed up on every concern and was the epitome of professionalism. We consider this individual to be a friend, and we have sent referrals her way that have resulted in her earning additional commissions. We will continue to recommend her to all who ask or mention that they'd like to buy or sell a home in our area.
The real estate agent, we used to sell our home, could not have been more different. We got our old home ready to sell prior to closing on our new home. We decided to list it as “For Sale by Owner.” In the event that we didn't sell this home on our own, it was our intention to list it with an agent as soon as we had closed on the purchase our new home. Literally, from the day we put the sign in front of our home and listed it on a “For Sale by Owner” website we were inundated with phone calls from real estate agents. We were told many lies and were constantly harassed; although we had already made it quite clear to every agent who called, and there were more to 60 who did; that we were willing to pay half the commission-the same as they would have received had they sold another agent's listing. We also told every agent that called that we had already lined up an agent to sell our home in the event that we chose to no longer sell it ourselves. Our deadline was the closing date of our new home purchase. We did have an interested buyer who shortly after our closing date decided to keep looking so we listed our home with a local agent so that we could concentrate on getting our new home ready for our moving date at the end of the school year. This agent showed our home a maximum of two times and got an offer which we accepted. We ended up getting $1,000 less than we had wanted in a declining Real Estate market. The agents who had called many times to harass us called our listing agent on a number of occasions and he lied telling them that the house was under contract when in fact it wasn't at that time-clearly a breach of our agent's fiduciary duty. Quite frankly an ethical agent would have continued to show our home until closing in the event that the deal fell through.
But wait, there's more. Our agent also acted as the buyer's mortgage broker. At the closing table, we learned that he had signed documents from the buyer stating that he (our agent) represented them and we had signed documents stating that he represented us. We also learned that the buyer had effectively put down approximately 2-3% of the purchase price when financed closing costs were factored into the equation. Their first mortgage had what we thought was a high fixed rate and their second mortgage came with a rate in excess of 8.5%. Because the closing happened in August, literally in the midst of the first wave of the meltdown, if they didn't close on the day they did (August 31st, 2007), Citibank wasn't going to extend their rate. When my wife & I have bought houses in the past, it had always been a very happy day. These people looked absolutely shell-shocked at the closing table. I'm not convinced that they knew just how much their monthly payment was going to be until closing day. We knew down to the penny well in advance having budgeted and planned everything on a spreadsheet. Were these people stupid or just inexperienced and mislead by a greedy combination of real estate agent & mortgage broker? I'm extremely confident that they are intelligent people but inexperienced and taken advantage of by an unscrupulous agent.
The banks are also culpable. Prior to bank deregulation, Savings and Loans provided mortgages to home buyers and kept these loans on their books. Non-performing loans had a negative effect on the S&L's profitability which of course caused tighter lending guidelines such as job stability and decent down payments in order for prospective home buyers to be approved for a mortgage. Way back then, a home buyer had to actually save up enough money for a down payment 10 or even 20% before a bank would ever consider underwriting a mortgage. The checks & balances kept banks solvent and borrowers responsible. Although this approach worked, some cried foul stating that the regulated system was racist and discriminatory-and there certainly was some truth to this. Skipping forward to the present, banks made a bundle on mortgages over the past five or six years. For the most part, they allowed their underwriting criteria to be stretched so far out of alignment that almost anyone could and indeed did, qualify for a mortgage despite their ability to pay. Some folks even applied for and received mortgages for more than the property was worth. Sometimes for as much as 25% more than their property was worth!
Under the prior system, 125% mortgages would not have been possible because of course these loans were held on the banks' books and could have led to losses that would have had to have been absorbed directly by the bank.
So what went wrong? Under the current system, these loans were sold to the big Wall Street investment firms who repackaged them as collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO's), Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS's) and other similar acronyms. These instruments were then sent to the ratings agencies for their blessing and more importantly a letter rating. Many of these structured finance deals receive AAA ratings-the highest ratings available meaning that in theory, these instruments were least likely to default. How does one create a 'triple A' or AAA rated financial instrument out of sub-prime mortgages? Herein lies the magic. These Asset Backed Securities (ABS) are made up of different tranches or slices, each carrying a different risk and reward level. The first dollar of principle and interest is applied to the securities with the highest rating, and the first dollar of loss is applied to the tranche with the lowest ratings. The lower slices are designed to provide a security blanket that in theory protects the higher-rated securities. The investment banks that package or 'structure' these securities in order to earn fat fees when they sell them to investors are the same entities that pay the ratings agencies to rate these instruments. Clearly the possibility for conflict of interest is present. If investors and not the investment banks that stand to rake in millions in fees were to pay for the rating, the potential for this conflict of interest would be negated. Furthermore, the investment banks have a vested interest in convincing the ratings agencies of the credit worthiness of these securities.
So we've already pointed fingers at homeowners, some greedy, many more I suspect, naïve or uninformed, real estate agents-one out of more than 60 in my experience was a gem, mortgage brokers & bankers, banks, Wall Street and ratings agencies so who's left? The Federal Reserve and the Government of course.
The Fed as its known is responsible of the country's monetary policy and for supervision and regulation of banks. This is the definition of the Fed's roles in their own words:
Monetary Policy
The Fed is best known for its role in making and carrying out the country's monetary policy-that is, for influencing money and credit conditions in the economy in order to promote the goals of high employment, sustainable growth, and stable prices.
The long-term goal of the Fed's monetary policy is to ensure that money and credit grow sufficiently to encourage non-inflationary economic expansion.
The Fed cannot guarantee that our economy will grow at a healthy pace, or that everyone will have a job. The attainment of these goals depends on the decisions of millions of people around the country. Decisions regarding how much to spend and how much to save, how much to invest in acquiring skills and education, how much to spend on new plant and equipment, or how many hours a week to work may be some of them.
What the Fed can do, is create an environment that is conducive to healthy economic growth. It does so by pursuing a goal of price stability-that is, by trying to prevent inflation from becoming a problem.
Inflation is defined as a sustained increase in prices over a period of time.
A stable level of prices is most conducive to maximum sustained output and employment. Also, stable prices encourage saving and, indirectly, capital formation because it prevents the erosion of asset values by unanticipated inflation.
Inflation causes many distortions in the market. Inflation:
· hurts people with fixed income-when prices rise consumers cannot buy as much as they could previously
· discourages savings
· reduces economic growth because the economy needs a certain level of savings to finance investments that boost economic growth
· makes it harder for businesses to plan-it is difficult to decide how much to produce, because businesses can't predict the demand for their product at the higher prices they will have to charge in order to cover their costs
Bank Regulation & Supervision
The Fed is one of the several Government agencies that share responsibility for ensuring the safety and soundness of our banking system. The Fed has primary responsibility for supervising bank holding companies, financial holding companies, state-chartered banks that are members of the Federal Reserve System, and the Edge Act and agreement corporations, through which U.S. banking organizations operate abroad.
The Fed and other agencies share the responsibility of overseeing the operation of foreign banking organizations in the United States. To insure that the banking system remains competitive and operates in the public interest, the Fed considers applications by banks for mergers or to open new branches.
The passage of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) Act in November 1999, was the culmination of a multi-decade effort to eliminate many of the restrictions on the activities of banking organizations.
Some of the main provisions of the GLB are:
· Repeals the existing limitations on the ability of banks to affiliate with securities and insurance firms
· Creates a new organizational form that allows banking organizations to carry new powers. This new entity called a "financial holding company," (FHC) and its non-banking subsidiaries are allowed to engage in financial activities such as insurance and securities underwriting
The Fed's enlarged role as an umbrella supervisor of FHCs is similar to its role in supervising bank holding companies. The Federal Reserve Banks will supervise and regulate the FHCs while each affiliate is still overseen by its traditional functional regulator.
The Fed has to delineate the financial relationship between a bank and other FHC affiliates. Its primary goal is to establish barriers protecting depository institutions from the problems of a failing affiliate. To do this efficiently the Fed has to ensure increased communication, cooperation, and coordination with the many supervisors of the more diversified FHCs.
The Fed has access to data on risks across the entire organization, as well as information on the firm's management of those risks. Regulators will be in a position to evaluate and presumably act on risks that threaten the safety and soundness of the insured banks.
It would appear that the Fed has failed to curb housing inflation which played a role in this entire debacle then made matters worse and in their efforts or lack there of, to properly supervise banking institutions.
Finally the government, a.k.a. Uncle Sam, the big Kahuna 10,000 pound elephant etc. Where do we begin? How about with: 'Where were they?'
It now appears that after millions of horses are out of the barn (some horses ran, others were foreclosed upon) the government wants to step in with a bailout to save the rest. While nobody wants to see people lose their homes, the question that must be raised is this: What about all those of us who were responsible? Those of us, who scrimped and saved up a decent down payment, bought less-house than we could afford and who live below our means? Many of us drive older cars and keep them longer. We don't run out and buy the latest and greatest at inflated prices, we watch, wait and budget.
When the World Trade Center was attacked, families who decided not to sue received government payouts and we certainly don't begrudge them as I'm sure that given the choice, they'd prefer to still have their loved-ones over the money. The problem, in typical government fashion is that those who were responsible and had insurance policies in place received less than those who were irresponsible and didn't plan ahead. I'm not talking about dishwashers at Windows on the World and blue collar workers; I'm talking about executives, traders and people who should have known better.
Now our government, the same government that sat by idly watching as this bubble got bigger and bigger despite many warnings, wants to step in and bailout people who are in danger of losing their homes. There has been no talk about educating people, let's not teach people to fish, rather, let's give them a fish and bail them out once again at the expense of those who are responsible.
Clearly, by keeping the majority of the population financially ignorant, there is a lot of money to be made by the poverty industry. |

More Adsense Tips in Blogging

When I first made a “real website” by buying my own domain (Blogging the Internet), I started to tinker with various content management programs to build my site, and later learned that blogging is the easiest way. Now I’m sticking to it.
But at first I was one of the million newbie webmasters who are lured to the “get rich quick” paranoia” that abound in the internet and also tried my best looking for internet programs that will take me to that paranoia. I was utilizing various pre-hosted sites (my favorite is Freehostia in doing the test-and-try website building trying to find my own niche on the cyberspace and the same time hoping that I will earn somehow through it.
I joined pay per click programs (PPC) where you click banner and text ads and then pay you cents and worse joined a High-Yield Investment Program (HYIP) and was cheated. I lost a couple of dollars joining the site and I swear to myself that I will not join one again.
My frustration is getting worse when I also joined affiliate programs such as Commission Junction, Linkshare and SFI and expected to earn but to avail. These site as good in their own way but my skills in affiliate marketing is very poor and my highest earnings was about $20.40 from CJ when I used my own affiliate link to purchase my own domain.
I share some dilemma with people who say that “internet income is just a false dream”.
I am not a risk-taker especially on the internet. The last thing that I will want myself is to be a victim of internet fraud and loss my hard-earned money and like most cybercitizens I want money and if possible free from the internet.
Then I meet the leader of contextual advertising – AdSense.
AdSense program is 100% free and I have applied to it the moment I wonder why most sites I have visit has that ads powered by AdSense. I applied four times, three times rejected and finally allowed to post ads to my sites using their script code. It took me quite awhile to be able to put AdSense ads in my site considering that I am still learning how to make a site and my knowledge about PHP and HTML is limited.
Since I decided to focus on having a blog, I tried to invest an ad placement on my blog placement, having that trial and error process on making a good and professional looking blog and took a longer time finding a suitable Adsense Friendly template (I’m using Wordpress).
Adsense, like any other contextual advertising program uses your blog content and keywords to place related and suitable ads on your site in a way not to confuse your readers of what is your site all about and irritated for placing blatant advertising banners. The ads put by Adsense have a better chance to be click and earn money from it.
Though Adsense doesn’t allow you to select what ads will appear in your site, you can still exclude ads from your direct competitors (sites that have the same topic or products that you have).
How Adsense know what Ads are to place in your site?
Google uses bots (Google bots), an engine that regularly visits your pages and read your site content, keywords, structure and formatting of pages, language you use and tell Adsense to display ads related to what it sees. The bot also tells AdSense what IP address you use (your location) to display related ads near your region.
The longer that your site is up, the more the bot will access your site and later a tighter match f ads related to your blog will show up. Google bot mostly uses keywords as its tip to Google, so there is a need to use proper keywords on your post because for some reason Adsense prefers post with less picture and larger or bold text in zeroing the subject of your blog.
However, be careful in suing too many keywords. You may make Google Bot understands more quickly your site content but at the same time distracts your readers. A good post that is informative will surely attract readers and make them come back to your site, but you will, but using irrelevant and annoying keywords will drive them away from your site and instead look for other blog that is more useful to your read. Losing a visitor will also results to loss of your Adsense earnings.
Treat your readers by giving them useful information, and not to make them feel that you are just using your blog to make money. There’s nothing wrong in pleasing Googlebot and your readers at the same time. Why not hit the two birds with one big stone?
It will be a great help that your keyword is also your title and use them on your post as well. Ex. You write about computers, make sure it is in the title and repeated in the post so that tightly match of ads will also show thus having a high click through rate from your readers.
Try not to copy content from free sites. You will not only lose your credibility as a blogger, worse risking to be accuse of plagiarism and also getting Google irritated with splogs (short for spam blogs) post. Splogs is very dangerous because it may results to the termination of your account.

Google has a program called Adwords, where business or site owners like you pay to advertise their product and services and also to drive real traffic to their websites.

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.
What are these three tactics?
1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.
Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

In fact, if Google finds that your new bargain website matches a hundred other websites, then they will more than likely not even index it in their searches. This is something that most of the "gurus" on the web won't tell you. Now this isn't to say that you should stay away from programs that provide a free website with your program. Not at all. If nothing else, you at least have a starting point to build from, without all of the expense and time of cr!

Do yourself a favor. If you don't take anything else from this paragraph, read the next sentence VERY CAREFULLY! The single most important part of your website is NOT the ads or the product you are selling. It is the CONTENT that makes up the bulk of your page. I can't stress enough how important this is. It may not sound that important at first, but once you get an idea of how the search engines actually work, then you will see how important this really is. Basically, if you do not have unique, interesting, and informative content on your website, then you can pretty much forget about ever being anywhere near the top of the search engine results. In fact, without good quality content on your page, most search engines will not even index your pages. Remember the reference to Google earlier? They are a prime example of this. Google bases a lot of its search indexing on the quality and quantity of the content on your site. If Google doesn't feel you have enough content, or good, quality content that would benefit their searchers, then they will simply pass you up, or at the least index you so far down in the search results that you might as well not even exist. And most of the other search engines are picking up on this and looking more closely at their own website submissions.
So, make sure that you add good quality content that would actually make the web surfer who has just found your site actually want to spend time on your site. Don't just give them a basically empty page with a bunch of links to programs and gadgets for them to buy. Give them the information that they came to your site to find in the first place. And it really isn't that difficult to do once you understand a few basic principles about website design.
But that's a topic for our next key factor, so let's just sum this part up by saying this: Just be prepared to put in a little time to fine tune your program, whether it is embellishing your website by adding features, adding text and content, or whatever. This is one of the most important things you can do if you expect to have a productive site that attracts the search engines, and eventually, your customers.
Number Two: Skills
Now, as for the skills that you bring to the table? Rest assured that you do not have to be a computer programmer to make money on the Internet. This is merely going to slow the process down a little as you move through the learning curve.
While not all programs will require you to have a website, in my honest opinion, you are passing up on multiple streams of income without one. Most programs will not expect you to already be an Internet guru with your own arsenal of websites at your disposal, but if you do have one, then you are ahead of the game. Nearly all good programs will be designed with the beginner in mind and some even provide you with your own starter website, as was mentioned in the previous section. If you do not already have a website of your own or the necessary tools to edit and update a site, there are many helpful and useful websites out there that can guide you through every step of the way. I highly recommend downloading one of the free HTML and programming editors. They work right on your computer and you can re-work or change your existing websites, or event create your own from scratch. The best part, other than being free, is that you really do not need any prior programming experience to use most of these programs. They are very easy to understand and user friendly for the beginner as well as the expert. I personally use the NVU HTML-editor myself and it works great. In fact, most of my site listed in the resource box below was designed and modified using that very program.
And if you do reach a place where you are stuck and don't know what to do, then the very tool you're using now is a gold mine of information and help for you to use. There is a wealth of knowledge on the web just waiting for you to tap into it. There is everything from free information such as forums, blogs, and articles to complete premium services that will walk you through the process or even do it for you. Not sure if you need a premium service? There are many free website tools available to help you along as well. These can include checking your site for errors, ranking, dead links, and all kinds of other problems. If that doesn't fulfill your curiosity, then there are some more free products and services on my site listed in the resource box below that you might want to try.
The point to remember here is this: Don't be afraid of what you don't already know. Look for the answer if you don't know what it is. Everyone has to start somewhere and most people's fears of technical issues are nothing that can't be overcome with a little research and knowledge.
Number Three: Support
Which brings us to the next factor. What kind of support is your program publisher going to provide? This is very important in speeding up your learning curve and has a big impact on how quickly you can expect to see results.
As was stated in the previous paragraph, most publishers have the beginner in mind, at least to some extent, when they design a new money making opportunity. After all, the majority of their customers are going to be people that are new to making money on the Internet. If you already knew how to do it, you wouldn't need their product in the first place, would you? So, expect the program you join to provide you with most of the tools you need to get a reasonably good start on your business. The more materials and support they offer, the better off you'll be no matter what your level of skill is. These are the building blocks that will be the foundation of your business, so don't overlook this when deciding on a program.
Take in to consideration your own skills when deciding what type of program you want to try. If you already have your own site and are just looking for something to add to that, then you may not need a program with a free website and all the extra bells and whistles included. On the other hand, if you think HTML is something that you get off the dollar menu at McDonalds, then you may want to find a program that is designed for someone just starting out. It's all about what you think your capabilities are and what you're willing to do on your own.

You will find everything from turn key online stores, to affiliate programs where you advertise other peoples products for them, to direct marketing of your own products. The possibilities are truly endless here. Just as a little side note here. If you are new to working online, then you owe it to yourself to check out the wide variety of affiliate programs that are out there. As a beginner, I would highly recommend this type of program to start you out. What could be simpler? You simply advertise other people's products on your website, or by any other means that you choose, and if you direct someone to their products and they buy something, then you receive a commission from the sale. They take care of all the business details such as shipping, receiving, accounting, returns, overhead, etc. All you have to do is keep promoting their products from the comfort of your own home. Keep in mind here though, that you will have to PROMOTE these products. Just having a website set up and on the web is not going to direct any sales your way without some advertising to bring them in. But we will discuss advertising a little later.
If you haven't already picked up on this by searching the work at home websites, you will also find that a lot of programs are basically just an e-book that you download to get you started. However, you don't have to necessarily be intimidated by these programs. While they essentially may only be providing you with information, there are some that can absolutely blow you away with the wealth of knowledge and insight that they provide. Information, in and of itself, is one of your most valuable tools when establishing an online business. Read all the mistakes and pitfalls that are discussed all over the web. What is one of the fastest ways to get your site on Google you ask? Most agree that the answer to that question would be to use Google's pay per click program called "Google Adwords". Basically, you bid on the key words that you want to advertise your site with and if you are the highest bidder for those particular key words, then you get the top ads on Google's main search results pages. You can set a daily spending cap so that you stay within the budget you set, but you have to realize that the lower your daily cap and the higher the price-per-click on your key words, the less times you are going to have your ad shown per day before you reach the spending cap and you're done for that day. But don't get me wrong, this program has made countless websites money and it could be just what you're looking for to promote your new site. You just need to realize going into it that while this can be a very quick way to get the word out about your site, it will probably end up costing you a pretty penny as well. And if your particular niche, or area of interest for your site, is one of the more popular ones with a lot of competition from the larger sites that can devote thousands of dollars a day to advertising, then you can almost guarantee to pay top dollar for those most sought after key words for your site. Now once again, don't panic. This is just one of the many, many forms of online advertising that you can employ to get the buzz out about your new up and coming financial whirlwind of a website.
You can submit your site for free to nearly all of the major search engines out there. I say some, because there are a few that strictly index their lists from what they find on the web themselves. In that case you will need to make sure you get a lot of quality inbound links to your site from as many well known sites as you can get to link up with you. Once again, this is where the time factor comes in. It takes time to contact each Webmaster of a site you want to link with. And then there's the time waiting for a reply. And so on. And so on. If you do a little research, you will find that there are several sites out there that will link your site to others for you, which can save you a lot of time. But, just a word of warning here. If you use these type of sites, then make sure of two things.
--Number one, make sure you are getting a "reciprocal link" to the other sites you are hooking up with. A reciprocal link means that your site links to theirs and their site links to yours. You don't want to have all one way links either into or out of your site. The search engines, and here again, Google is really picky on this one, they have a thing called PR which stands for page rank. This is determined by the number of sites that are willing to link to your site. This shows a sign of trust in your site that the search engines like to see.
--Now the second thing about these link exchanges is this: Stay away from what is called "link farms". These are sites that you can basically pay to be linked with every site they can get their hands on based on the theory that the more links you have, good or bad, the better your search ranking will be with the search engines. This is a very big mistake in the eyes of the search engines and in extreme cases, you can actually get your site ranking lowered because of this, if not getting totally banned from the search engine all together. The big three, and most of the smaller search engines as well, see this as tampering with the system, which it really is, and they do not take it lightly. So, do yourself a favor and stay away from the link farms.
Just go out there and do your own foot work. Talk to the other webmasters and show them why an exchange of links with your site would be beneficial to you both. This way you can make some honest links with some of the other sites out there and you should have no problems with the search engines. Not to mention that every link you can get from another website is another potential stream of traffic that you just got for nothing more than a little constructive conversation with the other webmasters.
